Soldiers Out of Uniform
- Soldiers in mandatory or permanent military service presenting a form NO.327, date of military conscription, card of soldier/officer/cadet or reservist are permitted to travel free of charge on any lines except for Eilat lines.
- Soldiers in mandatory or permanent military service presenting "out-of-uniform travel authorization" printed on A4 and signed by IDF public inquiry officer, along with card of soldier/officer/cadet or reservist are permitted to travel free of charge on all lines except for Eilat lines.
- Soldiers in mandatory or permanent military service presenting a combat driver card, along with card of soldier/officer/cadet or reservist are permitted to travel free of charge on all lines except for Eilat lines.
- Soldiers with out-of-uniform travel authorization presenting combat soldier card (with validation date displayed beneath the photo) along with card of soldier/officer/cadet or reservist are permitted to travel free of charge on all lines except for Eilat lines.
Soldiers in Civilian Clothes on Weekends and High Holidays
Soldiers and Cadets are permitted to travel free of charge on any Egged lines, except Eilat lines without in civilian clothes during weekends and high holidays. Soldiers and Caders with "Arava permission" can travel free of charge on Eilat lines either.
- Traveling free of charge without uniform is allowed on weekends - between Thursday 22:30 and Sunday 5:00
- On holidays, from the beginning of the service on holiday's eve till end of Night line service on holiday's end.
*Does not include: Hanukkah, Lag Ba-Omer, Fast of Esther, Isru Passover, Isru Shavuot, Tu Be-Av Eve, Holocaust Remembrance day.
Cadets
Cadets carrying a relevant certificate are permitted to travel free of charge except for Eilat lines.
Soldiers Holding Arava Card
Uniformed soldiers presenting card of soldier/officer/cadet/SHALAT/reservist and Arava Card are permitted to travel free of charge on buses to/from Eilat and can purchase ticket in advance through the
Customer Service Center *2800 or at
ticket offices. Uniformed soldiers are allowed a discount of 10% of the fare ticket upon the presentation of soldier card.
Validity of Arava Card is defined only by it's color, and not by the issue date of the document.
Demobilized Soldier’s Travel Permit
Demobilized Soldiers presenting stamped Travel Permit and soldier/officer/reservist card can travel free of charge on the public transport in civilian clothes. The Travel Permit is valid only for the date specified on it.
Documents to be presented when traveling free of charge to/from Eilat
- For soldiers/officers in uniform: soldier/officer card + Arava Card
- For soldiers/officers out of uniform: soldier/officer card + combat soldier card + Arava Card
- For soldiers/officers out of uniform: soldier/officer card + form No. 327 + Arava Card
