Jerusalem: as of August 24, 2018 bus drivers will no longer fill Rav-Kav cards

Charge the Rav-Kav before boarding the bus. Senior citizens only will be able to purchase via driver a single paper ticket or recharge Rav-Kav with a day pass. Besides, passengers who have no pre-loaded Rav-Kav can buy from the driver paper one multi-ride ticket loaded anonymous Rav-Kav card (price 10.90 NIS).

Regulations have recently changed and today, the only means of payment on a bus will be a pre-loaded Rav-Kav. Veteran residents only will be able to purchase via driver a single paper ticket or recharge Rav Kav with day pass. Besides, passengers who have no pre-loaded Rav-Kav can buy from the driver paper one multi-ride ticket loaded anonymous Rav-Kav card (price 10.90 NIS).

There are variety of ways to load your Rav-Kav card:

  • Automatic self-loafing machines located around the city and at the Light Rail/CityPass platforms (credit card or cash – NIS only).
  • "Al Hakav" Service Points located at Central Bus Station and throughout the city (credit card or cash – NIS only).
  • Cofix, 'Maayan 2000' branches and at corner stores and businesses throughout the city (credit card or cash – NIS only).
  • 'Casponet' ATMs throughout the city - no commission (payment by credit card only).
  • Rav Kav mobile phone application on Android NFC -enabled devices  (payment by credit cards only)
  • Home Computer with a special card reader at Rav Kav Online website (payment by credit card only)
